PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's leading digital publisher, REV Media Group (RMG) has joined forces with data analytics and consumer intelligence company, Dattel Asia Group (DAG) to become the first local publisher to set up its own self-serve platform.

The platform, called REV Ad Manager (RAM) will empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with data-driven advertising.

RAM is designed to be the starting point for SMEs to run ad campaigns and reach the ideal audience to grow their business. In simple terms, RAM is a tool that allows businesses to segment customers, create ads and manage them effortlessly.

Powered with AI for better audience targeting, RAM allows SMEs to leverage on RMG's network audience of 15.8 million unique visitors, using the right consumer data to make informed marketing decisions.

What this means is that SMEs will be able to reach 80 per cent of Malaysians through this tool.

Usually, SMEs would not have access to market data and would have to blindly guess where their potential target market lies. Now, RAM provides a data-driven solution, so that SMEs can choose to spend their advertising budget for optimum return on investment.

Currently, the platform is offering SMEs a very special rate, from as low as RM1,000 with a guaranteed 100,000 audience reach.

These special rates are designed to ensure SMEs have more affordable options to promote their products and services as part of the economic recovery process.

DAG's Chief Executive Officer, Ashran Dato Ghazi said, "Targeting the right audience is crucial in any business aspect. We want to come in aid and empower SMEs with data that is actionable and most importantly yield results."

He also added that not only will SMEs have more affordable options to do so, but they will also get to tap into the largest mobile unique visitor network in Malaysia.

RMG's Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Wee said, "Gone are the days where SME business owners and agencies need to traditionally acquire data and create personas to match their audience targeting.

"Our AI powered recommendation engine will recommend the best media asset that is optimised for your market audience which makes it easier for the agencies and brands," he added.

One of the unique outcomes of this collaboration is that RMG and DAG have managed to use market audiences to create multiple personas for brands, including leveraging 28 Behavior Archetypes and 12 Value Traits of Consumers.

RAM is currently calling for interested agencies to apply and be a REV Marketing Partner.

On the other hand, interested SMEs can work with certified REV Marketing Partners to take full advantage of the all-new RAM platform. As of now, the group of appointed agencies include Zen Communications, BookAD, BrandGeeks, Commerce.Asia, DreamTalents Media, Orion Digital, Phar Partnerships, MedADS, Pixelsy Solutions, FourSeven Media and Messe Worldwide.
