KUALA LUMPUR (June 14): Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) has announced the MARii Enterprise Resource Planning (MARii ERP) platform to drive the digitalisation of business operations in the country, especially in assisting micro, small and medium enterprises (micro SMEs).

In a statement today, MARii chief executive officer Datuk Madani Sahari said the MARii ERP system, developed by the institute, can automate the manual administration process through digitalisation of record keeping, centralisation of information, and consolidating sales orders until delivery in a system that can be accessed and used by various company operations.

“For example, manufacturers can use the MARii ERP system to enable sales teams to consolidate sales data, which is used by the manufacturing division in planning operations, inventory and logistics, and ultimately recorded by the finance department in real time.

"Most importantly, the MARii ERP system enables businesses to optimise the use of resources to ensure manpower, infrastructure, and equipment are used to add value to operations and not wasted on worthless activities that can now be avoided through digitalisation", he said.

MARii ERP is an online platform for companies that manage key business functions under one platform including manufacturing, sales and logistics, stock and inventory management, procurement and accounting.

Elaborating further, Madani said the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in disruption to the economy, especially when the country has to choose between life and survival, while managing the pandemic.

“Although some operations need to be done on business premises, many SMEs have difficulty performing work from home due to lack of resources in digitising operations that should be able to be done online.

"The MARii ERP system creates a data-based business operating environment and most importantly, is not constrained by location and movement control as long as there is a connection to the internet, in line with the government's efforts towards business digitalisation," he said.

In the meantime, Madani said companies interested in starting operational digitisation could also follow various programmes organised by MARii to enhance their operational abilities and capabilities, besides utilising the MARii ERP system fully as a central platform for the company's digital transformation.

Among these programmes are the Technopreneur Development Programme, MARii Lean Production System, MARii Industry4WRD Technology Platform and CEO/Owner Growth Mindset Programme.

"Through the ecosystem of MARii programmes, driven by the MARii ERP system, MARii can customise the system and assign experts to the company, who will review and identify manual processes that can go through the digitisation process," he said.

Madani also said the system was offered at an affordable subscription rate and was able to help various companies achieve a return on investment in just a few months.

"For those who are interested, can contact via info@marii.my," he added.
