PETALING JAYA: Home-grown tech platform Grab is continuing its partnership with the Selangor government to get more businesses to participate in the digital economy.

The initiative, known as Platform Selangor 2.0 (PLATS 2.0), allows traditional businesses to market their products through online channels.

Grab will be working closely with the Selangor government to provide delivery support to PLATS merchants via GrabExpress.

GrabExpress Malaysia head, Zafira Azahar said the company was honoured to be part of the initiative.

“We have always encouraged businesses to embrace the digital economy to grow their business.

“We are also open to working with other local councils and like-minded partners to leverage on our technology and network for merchants to embrace the digital economy so no one is left behind.”

At the launch of PLATS 2.0 yesterday, Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari said the initiative was aimed at supporting the state’s digitalisation agenda.

“Covid-19 forces us to be more creative in creating opportunities and speed up the digitalisation process,” he was reported as saying.
